White Elf (Pleurotus nebrodensis)

The Culture: Drawn from our proprietary liquid culture, this specialized White Elf strain is bred for its breathtaking, alabaster-white fruiting bodies and dense, meaty stems.

The Profile: Often considered a luxury culinary ingredient. Similar in structure to a King Oyster, but with a softer, more delicate peppery flavor and an incredibly tender bite. It is a show-stopping addition to cream sauces, delicate seafood pairings, and high-end culinary presentations.

History & Benefits: This species is exceptionally rare in the wild, natively found only in the limestone mountains of Sicily. Cultivation has quite literally saved this culinary gem from the brink of extinction. It is highly prized in functional diets for its rich concentration of immune-modulating polysaccharides.

Fruiting Conditions: Performs best on highly supplemented hardwood sawdust (HWFP) or masters mix. Prefers a strict, cooler fruiting environment between 55°F – 65°F to ensure the stems remain dense and the caps properly form.
