Reishi Red (Ganoderma lucidum)

The Culture: Drawn from our proprietary liquid culture, this Red Reishi strain provides a remarkably strong, resilient, and thick mycelial network.

The Profile: Cultivated strictly for medicinal and functional use. The fruiting bodies are woody, tough, and naturally bitter, meaning they are not used for culinary cooking. Instead, they are harvested, dried, and utilized for potent teas, dual-extract tinctures, and wellness powders.

History & Benefits: Revered for over 2,000 years in traditional Chinese medicine as the "Mushroom of Immortality" (Lingzhi), Reishi was historically reserved for royalty and emperors to promote longevity and vitality. It contains incredibly high concentrations of triterpenes and polysaccharides. In modern functional wellness, it is extensively utilized for its adaptogenic properties—meaning it helps the body manage physical and mental stress—while supporting deep immune system modulation and promoting restful, restorative sleep.

Fruiting Conditions: Grown almost exclusively on supplemented hardwood (HWFP). Prefers warmer temperatures between 70°F – 80°F. Highly adaptable to the grower’s preference: can be grown as "antlers" in high CO2 environments or classic shelf-like "conks" with high fresh air exchange.
