By placing an order with Susquehanna Spores you agree to the terms below. We have kept them as plain and human as possible — we are a small lab, not a legal department, and we prefer plain language over fine-print theater.

Our Quality Guarantee

Every culture we ship is verified on agar before it leaves the lab, and every grain bag and substrate jar is pressure-sterilized to exact specifications. If a product arrives compromised despite this, we want to make it right.

  • Agar and grain products: please contact us with photos within 48 hours of delivery for a replacement.
  • Liquid cultures: please contact us with photos within 7 days of delivery for a replacement.

To start a replacement, email support@susquehannaspores.com with your order number and clear photos in natural light. We review every claim personally and will never make you fight a bot for a refund.

Subscription Boxes & Freebies

Any complimentary items included in your subscription box — including fully or partially colonized agar plates from active lab projects — are free gifts intended for community sharing.

These items are strictly exempt from our refund and replacement policies. They are a thank-you for being part of our community and are shared as-is from active, living lab projects. Treat them accordingly, share them with a fellow hobbyist, or enjoy them yourself.

If a subscription charge itself is ever incorrect, of course we will fix that — just reach out.

Intended Use

All products sold by Susquehanna Spores are intended for legal culinary, medicinal, and microscopy research use only.

You are responsible for understanding and complying with the laws that apply to you. We do not condone the use of our products for any illegal purpose, and we reserve the right to cancel and refund any order that appears suspicious, fraudulent, or inconsistent with legal-use intent.

By completing a purchase you confirm that the products you are ordering will be used in accordance with the laws of your jurisdiction.
